Jeep trip out to the old Fort Pierce

On Easter sunday we went out 4 wheeling in the jeep to the old Fort Pierce. It was a fort created by the early settlers to protect a watering hole from hostile Native Americans in the area.

Laney had an early birthday party with her St George friends before we moved. We went to the splash pad at the Pine View Park and let them run around. She is missing all these cute girls.

As some of you may know Steve has taken a job up in Salt Lake. He has been there since Sept. and just comes home on the weekend. I have been left a single mom to try and sell our house so we can all be together again. Finally, yesterday we accepted an offer......it wasn't nearly as much as we hoped to get but at this point we are grateful to make it out even. We will have until the middle of January if all goes as planned. Keep your fingers crossed. I need to post a special thank you to Tyler and Wendy and especially Tyler's mom for helping Steve out and giving him a nice place to stay while we sort everything out. We are in your debt and we love you....

We had a great dinner at the Fish Rock Grille on the Ledges golf course. The food was good and the view was awesome.

We celebrated our sweet Laney's birthday...I can't believe she is getting so old. We took some kids to Jumpin Jacks, this really cool wharehouse full of all kinds of bounce houses and slides. We stayed for three hours! Happy birthday Bug....we love you tons.

Trip to Mapleton

Last weekend we took a quick trip up to Utah County to visit with our friends the Hofheins. We had a great time visiting, letting the kids play, eating good food, and playing with the animals. Their beautiful new home is featured this week in the Utah County parade of homes. We had the pleasure of building the bed for their master bedroom. We are very proud of it and are hoping to perhaps make a few more. I added a link to my blog with info and pictures of some of the beds we have made, its called sleepybeds.blogspot.com. We also went to the Hogle Zoo for a little while too. Thanks to Tyler and Wendy for putting us up, and we are so excited for your new house!!!

Well, this is Ollie. The latest addition to our family. He is so cute and sweet. He and Gus get along great. They wrestle all over the floor and Ollie just follows Gus around like his little shadow. I suppose Ollie is the "interim" baby, until we are chosen to be adoptive parents. Our profile with LDSfamily services has been approved and we are hoping to have our online profile published in the next week or so. I will let everyone know what the address is.......spread the word. Hope you all are doing well.

Halloween

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. This year Steve was a doctor, I was a snow bird (no, I haven't gained weight, my clothes were stuffed) , Dana was a mad scientist, and Laney was a Vampire. We had lots of fun and lots of parties. We had Cooper's Halloween birthday party, a parents only party in our neighborhood, the ward party and trunk or treat, and then finally trick or treating on Halloween night. We will have enough candy to last at least until next year.

Disneyland

After San Diego we spent 3 days at Disneyland and had a blast. Laney was so brave. You name it she went on it. She went on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, the Matterhorn, the Haunted House and much more. She can't wait until she is tall enough for Indiana Jones.

Here are a few pictures from our trip to mission beach in San Diego. It was a real trip for Steve who lived there while in the Navy. He hasn't been back in 12 years. The kids loved the beach even though it was a little chilly. Next time we will try to go when it is warmer. Dana rode the big roller coaster on Mission Beach. We also went to the zoo on Sunday. It was beautiful!!!

Amanda, Jo and I had this crazy idea to take the kids up to Pine Valley and get some cute pictures of them all together. It was interesting to say the least. They were into it for about 10 minutes then it was a nightmare, but hopefully we got a couple cute shots. Amanda took most of the pictures on her camera, but here are a few I took before my batteries ran out.

We recently went to a VW show with the girls. It was at the Las Vegas motor speed way. We had fun watching the drag races. One of the Bugs went 156 mph and had 700 horse power. We had a great time.

Sorry these are not the best pics of Hank. I will put some better ones on soon. Jo Ellen had Hank on Sept 27th. He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 19 in. He is such a sweet little guy!!! He has two awesome dimples on each cheek and is missing the thick brown eyebrows Bubs had so maybe he'll be a blondie!!! Jo is so excited he is taking the bottle and a pacifier really well. He is a great baby so far, we are so excited he is here.

Laney has learned so many things this summer it is amazing. She learned to ride her bike, she learned to swim, she learned to swing by herself, she learned to write her name and all the letters of the alphabet, she also learned how to write numbers, and she can do simple addition. I am so proud of her and I love to watch the excitement in her face when she realizes she figured something out. She is such a good girl.

We have finally gotten our old hammock out of the attic. We are so excited to use it a little more when it cools off. Then you can see a close picture of the flagstone patio that I built. Well, Steve put in the cement..... And we also built a little water feature that sounds nice when you are chillin on the hammock.

Dana wanted to take her baptism photos at the Brigham Young winter home. Oh, and speaking of winter, it was freezing that day. We had to take her coat off really quick to take a picture then hurry and put in back on. She is so pretty. She will not wear her hair down very often because she doesn't like all the attention she gets. Everyone makes a fuss over how pretty it is.
